Prashant Kumar set to leave IPG Mediabrands after 13 years

Prashant Kumar, President of IPG Mediabrands World Markets Asia is set to leave the agency after 13 years of being with the company, Marketing understands from its sources.
It is understood that Kumar is currently serving notice and will leave the agency in April this year.
Marketing has reached out to IPG for an official statement.
He has been in the current role helming most markets in Asia for over 4 years now. During this phase, the business saw rapid growth, fuelled by Agency of the Future initiative, and stronger local offices. It also marked the agency winning J&J APAC and becoming the largest Reckitt agency in the region. Kumar has also launched social media offering Rally in the region, which after the initial success in many regional markets, was exported to dozens of countries in Europe and Latin America.
Kumar also set-up Ingenuity, an end to end Digital commerce studio, and reinvented Ensemble as a next generation content and creative services offering, both of them getting early success.
Prior to the regional role, he was the Malaysia head for IPG Mediabrands for 7 years. It was during this period that the agency doubled its size every two years. 2015 was one of its best years for the agency when it won some of the largest local pitch wins in Maxis and Sime Darby.
