The Essential Guide to Social Media Advertising

Being active on social media is a great way to market your brand, generate leads, and attract customers. HubSpot’s State of Inbound 2014-2015 report found that over 80% of surveyed marketers believe that social media has become a more important lead source for their businesses over the last six months. Clearly, social media marketing can be hugely beneficial for business, and that’s a trend that’s going up. Social media platforms are increasingly becoming “pay-to-play” spaces, however. Getting involved with paid advertising on social media, with its advanced audience targeting options, can give you that extra boost to attract viewers whom you might find tough to reach otherwise. With social media advertising, you’re still providing people the same great value that you normally would on your other channels, like organic, social, and email—you’re just putting some money behind your promotions to show your content to people who you think would benefit from it. In that way, social media advertising still aligns with the inbound marketing methodology.
