Facebook Introduces Messenger Redesign for Faster, Simpler App

Facebook entered the messaging app market almost a decade ago, and it is pretty clear why they did this. The social media platform knew that it would need to have a separate messaging app if it was going to stay ahead of the game, and with its acquisition of WhatsApp the platform found that it possessed two of the most popular messaging apps in the world.
However, while the social media platform managed to take WhatsApp to even greater heights than had been seen ever before, another thing to note is that the Messenger app started to slowly decline, and in order to prevent the app from becoming highly unpopular Facebook decided to launch a project that it referred to as Project Lightspeed, and the way this project works is that the social media platform was trying to improve the messenger app so that it would stay as relevant as possible.
