Hippo | June 28, 2022

Mortgage Partner Channel
Hippo (NYSE: HIPO): Hippo Insurance Services today announced the expansion of its mortgage partner channel, as well as availability of its home insurance products in Massachusetts. Hippo provides loan originator and servicer partner’s customers with a seamless home insurance purchasing experience. More than a dozen mortgage lenders and servicers now combine to help over 7 million customers nationwide that finance their homes each year.

Home insurance is a critical step in the mortgage purchase process, with 80% of buyers needing financing, and 100% of lenders requiring proof of home insurance coverage before closing. Hippo’s mortgage partner channel provides each lender’s customers with a simple and fast way to purchase modern home insurance coverage.

Customers receive tailored, purchase-ready insurance quotes in seconds without needing to answer lengthy questionnaires, and can complete the entire purchase process with Hippo in as little as four minutes. That’s compared to other providers who can take up to 30 minutes, and often require answering upwards of 70 questions, just to provide a quote.

“Since launching our mortgage partner channel as a pilot over a year ago, we have collaborated with an ever-growing list of leading lenders and servicing companies. Together we can deliver a seamless home insurance purchase experience that alleviates some of the stress felt by homebuyers, and helps existing homeowners find better coverage faster,” said Rick McCathron, CEO and President of Hippo.

D&H Distributing Offers Microsoft Surface for Business Devices to Partners

Microsoft D&H Distributing, Microsoft | July 27, 2022

D&H Distributing is set to begin offering the Microsoft Surface for Business portfolio of devices to its channel partners. D&H will provide the portfolio of devices including Laptop 4, Laptop Studio, Laptop Go 2, Pro 8 and Pro 7+. The portfolio also includes Pro X, Go 3, Duo 2, Studio 2 and Hub 2S. Along with Microsoft 365, these devices will play a major part in the distributor’s new modern solutions initiative. The strategy helps channel partners better deliver end-to-end, cloud-based software, hardware and services to a range of end-users. Jason Bystrak is D&H’s vice president of modern solutions “D&H is thrilled to add Microsoft Surface for Business, elevating our line card with this industry-leading computing solution for a range of verticals,” said Jason Bystrak, D&H’s vice president of modern solutions. “D&H is thrilled to add Microsoft Surface for Business, elevating our line card with this industry-leading computing solution for a range of verticals,” he said. This gives D&H channel partners a “compelling” option for providing a suite of devices and accompanying MSP offerings, Bystrak said. D&H is helping its partners grow their practices toward more midmarket opportunities. D&H’s Ongoing Focus on Work from Home, Business Continuity The addition of Microsoft Surface for Business devices is essential to D&H’s ongoing focus on work-from-home and business continuity. It supports the evolving needs of the market as the hybrid workplace continues to take shape. D&H said these Microsoft devices provide a new offering for its partners in target markets such as education and health care. The distributor will offer the devices in conjunction with the Microsoft 365 solution as part of a bundle. It will deliver the bundle through a monthly subscription. This allows companies to assign IT expenses to their operational budgets, as opposed to the capital budget. That provides a more economical way to maintain an updated computing environment. In addition, it plays into D&H’s ongoing built for growth initiative, which continues to bring new opportunities and options to promote its partners’ expansion and profitability. D&H’s Success Path to Cloud D&H will fold content around Microsoft Surface for Business into its Success Path to Cloud program. This gives partners resources, training and support to help them create a successful managed services practice that incorporates cloud solutions. D&H will bundle white-glove and deployment services along with sales of the Microsoft devices to support solution providers as they deliver this technology on site at school, medical or other facility campuses. Jason Jones is Microsoft‘s senior partner development manager for Microsoft Cloud. “D&H has an upstanding reputation built on supporting its partners and developing their businesses, helping solution providers take advantage of high-performance computing as part of a richly functional, cloud-enabled workplace,” he said. “As the market continues to get more complex, involving different degrees of hybrid infrastructures, we’re glad to extend our relationship with D&H to include our flagship Microsoft Surface for Business devices.”

Avaya Reshapes Partner Landscape with New Cloud Products for a Hybrid World

Avaya | July 01, 2022

From contact center apps to conversational AI software, Avaya and its channel partners are embracing cloud 3.0 with a series of new products that don’t disrupt a user’s existing systems. Rather, Avaya offers tools that are complementary for customers, the company said. At the Avaya Customer Experience Center in New York City Thursday, executives showcased products and a vision for their company. In one demonstration, an Avaya representative called a doctor’s office complaining of a knee injury. Avaya’s conversational AI bot responded to the representative, showed empathy regarding her faux injury and was able to follow the conversation well enough to send a text message scheduling the representative for a doctor’s visit. It was like Alexa or Siri but a little more gifted. Using the bot also wasn’t dependent on downloading an app. Avaya’s conversational AI software also recognizes languages, eliminating the need for contact centers, for instance, to hire bilingual agents. Karen Hardy is global VP of product management at Avaya. “It’s been partly the pandemic that’s led us to a point where we’ve had a lot of remote workers who have needed the same tools as when they were in the office to when they’re remote,” Hardy said. “So, the technology road map has had to change. As Avaya looked at our road map, we had to look at what those employee and agent experiences needed to be, how immersive technology had to come into play.” However, these products – many of which offer low code, no code solutions – show they are useful beyond a remote-office setting. They may have ubiquitous applications for a greater hybrid world. For example, when Avaya placed its virtual agent in the front of a chain of grocery stores, the chain reported a $3 million increase in productivity. A New Era for Partners “Partners can sell something that’s additive, not competitive,” said Steve Forcum, director and chief evangelist, marketing, at Avaya. “Partners can sell something that’s additive, not competitive,” said Steve Forcum, director and chief evangelist, marketing, at Avaya. “We’re empowering them to introduce technologies to customers that solve business problems. However, these solutions don’t carry with them the prerequisites of a platform change.” Forcum added that from one sale, partners can keep adding new apps and services. A couple of years ago, Avaya introduced its subscription model. giving partners an opportunity to return to customers and have a different conversation. This enabled customers to experience a transformation to cloud and to Avaya’s OneCloud experience, the company said. These new cloud-based products and services on display build on that. “Our customers [and] our partners love this approach because it is arming them with new tools and new services to introduce to customers instead of trying to … blindly call customers to find those opportunities, such as asking them if they are moving to the cloud,” Forcum said.
