Search Queries for Good News Are Higher Than Ever on Google and YouTube Search

Nowadays people are struggling to come to terms with the sheer scale of the crisis we are facing, and it is pretty easy to see how this is affecting us on a day to day basis. Looking at data can often help us to understand the public mindset, and the fact of the matter is that people are quite tired of the constant barrage of terrified news about coronavirus that they are generally being forced to contend with and this is being reflected in the kinds of Google searches that they are making. According to Google Trends data, searches for “good news” are now higher than ever before, particularly on Web, News and YouTube search. In fact, the trends seem to indicate that the number of searches that have this particular term associated with them have doubled since the previous highest number, so much so that it is impacting how other search terms are being used as well.
