Marigold™ Launches SMS Capabilities for Emma Customers

Marigold, a global martech leader focused on delivering relationship marketing solutions that help marketers acquire, grow and retain customers, today announced that SMS is now available for Emma by Marigold customers. This new, fully integrated offering allows marketers to execute personalized campaigns across email, web and SMS directly from the Emma platform, with no new training or enablement required. By providing a centralized platform where marketers can use the same contact lists, campaign setup process and reporting for both email and SMS, Marigold helps marketers deliver personalized campaigns faster.

“Marigold is committed to delivering solutions that make it easy for marketers to communicate the right message at the right moment,” said Desta Price, Chief Product Officer of Marigold. “Unlike many of our competitors, our SMS integrates directly into the campaign workflow, reducing the need for multiple platforms and redundant processing and allowing marketers to build and deliver more campaigns. By extending Marigold’s SMS capabilities to Emma customers, we continue our mission of helping marketers strengthen customer relationships with every interaction.”

SMS has emerged as a powerful channel for marketers looking to deliver an integrated and engaging customer journey. In fact, Marigold’s 2023 U.S. Consumer Trends Index found that 45% of consumers have purchased directly from an SMS message and 66% use their mobile phones to research products while shopping in store.

“As an existing Emma by Marigold customer, the value proposition for having both SMS and email marketing campaigns managed in one place is quite clear for a team of our size,” said Lindsay Night, marketing manager at Rodeo Austin. “We are eager to significantly expand our text marketing efforts and be set up to manage and measure multiple marketing channels from a single platform.”

Emma by Marigold customers can leverage SMS to scale campaigns, better understand audience preferences, maintain brand control and optimize resources across multiple, unique industry needs including:

  • Franchises are challenged with maintaining a consistent brand message across channels and locations. SMS empowers Emma by Marigold franchise operators, location managers and brand owners to easily execute, monitor and measure campaign performance to:

    • Increase sales: drive urgency through limited-time promotions and offers for products that customers have expressed interest in.

    • Reward loyalty: announce special in-store events to customers and reward VIP customers with relevant updates.

  • Higher education institutions need to reach multiple audiences with consistent yet personalized messaging fit to the needs of each group. From meeting prospects at different points of the admissions process to sending the right messages to students, alumni or faculty at the right time, SMS makes it easier for universities to:

    • Maximize the number of applicants: send relevant and targeted communications that keep students informed throughout the application process.

    • Improve student retention rates: support new students by sharing information about groups, resources and activities that are personalized to their interests and demographics.

  • Nonprofits are faced with maximizing resources in order to drive significant impact, extremely efficiently. Driving awareness at a local and national level with relevant messaging for broad audience segments is essential to scaling efforts. With SMS, nonprofits can:

    • Boost donations: keep supporters engaged by sending fundraising and event information in real time, or segmented by region or specific member group.

    • Convert volunteers to members: increase attendance and participation by sending reminders to local volunteers about schedules, cancellations and changes, or through nationally focused campaigns.

As today’s marketing landscape continues to evolve, the need for fully integrated, multi-channel solutions becomes even more important to better connect and engage with consumers throughout the entire customer journey and for a streamlined approach. With Emma by Marigold, managing email, web and SMS marketing channels from a single platform enables marketers to collect and utilize the same customer profile data to share personalized, multi-channel messaging, faster and more effectively.

TSG Launches Embedded Pricing Tool, Enhancing its AIM Platform for Channel Partners

Businesswire | August 17, 2023

TSG (The Strawhecker Group), a globally recognized analytics and solutions-focused firm in the payments industry, is excited to launch its Embedded Pricing Tool, a value-added service for subscribers of itsAcquiring Industry Metrics (AIM)platform. The tool enables merchant acquirers to share go-to-market pricing benchmarks with their channel partners, which helps partners ‘right price’ their merchants at the time of boarding. TSG found that merchant acquiring channels like software companies (e.g. PayFacs) often unintentionally price their merchants below market rates by as much as 40 basis points. Embedded Pricing solves this problem by allowing merchants to be priced accurately at the time of boarding. “Money is being left on the table because merchant processing channel partners don’t have the data to accurately price their merchants befitting of their strategy,” said Mike Strawhecker, President at TSG. For ten years, AIM has revolutionized how leading payments companies tackle their data problems and maximize profitability, with seven of the top ten U.S. merchant acquirers subscribing to AIM. Using the same harmonized dataset, AIM users can now offer Embedded Pricing to channel partners, such as software companies, financial institutions, ISOs, and agents. Embedded Pricing provides access to specific pricing benchmarks based on industry, account size, vintage, and geography. “Like every other product or service, a large veterinarian in San Francisco may pay a different price for processing than a smaller veterinarian in Jackson, Mississippi. Software companies (and other channels) currently price their merchants in a vacuum because they don’t have market comps. This tool solves that problem. It is unprecedented in the market as it allows merchant acquirers to share market pricing benchmarks to boost partner margins while also unlocking a new value-added service. It’s a win-win for both sides and helps increase partner retention,” said Josh Istas, Senior Director of Product Strategy at TSG. The Embedded Pricing Tool is only available to AIM subscribers. Users gain access to benchmarks via API, which can be integrated into existing partner, or white-labeled portals. As a value-added service, merchant acquirers may turn the solution into a revenue generator. In addition to Embedding Pricing, AIM enables access to portfolio-specific and market benchmarks at a micro and macro-level of detail, derived through TSG data harmonization of multiprocessor settlement data (completed in an anonymous and aggregated fashion). Subscribers regularly use the platform, and the seamless user interface, AIMvision, for merchant-level analysis, portfolio optimization, vertical strategies, and comparing KPIs. AIM is populated with credit/debit card data on over 4M merchants across the U.S. Further, it represents 25% of total card volume from merchants with more than $100M in annual card volume. AIM closely mirrors the overall makeup of the U.S. card acceptance market and positively correlates with other data sets, such as the U.S. Census, with a 98% correlation by U.S. state establishment population. About TSG TSG (The Strawhecker Group) is a globally recognized analytics and consulting firm that supports the entire payments ecosystem, serving over 1,000 clients from Fortune 500 leaders to more than a dozen of the world's most valuable brands.
