Facebook experiments with cross-platform of Stories

Facebook | March 12, 2020

Facebook tests out a new cross-platform feature that will allow users to share Facebook Stories on Instagram. However, the tool would not give users the ability to share the other way around from Instagram to Facebook. The latest discovery was shared by reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong on her Twitter account. According to the screenshot she posted, a new tool would be available in the Story Privacy Section that would give users the option to ‘share their story on Instagram.’
The company has also confirmed these findings and said that the feature is currently in test mode. And if the testing is successful, the company would roll out the feature for the public really soon.
