Sandeep Mohan, Managing Director of Machintel has extensive experience in managing B2B digital marketing campaigs and channel management. In this Q&A, Sandeep shares about his learnings over the years at Machintel, the company values and their indomitable expertise in the field of digital marketing. 

MEDIA 7: As a child what did you want to be when you grew up?
SANDEEP MOHAN: As a child my dream was to play cricket for the nation, but unfortunately due to some circumstances, I had to drop my dream. Later, I completed my higher education and wanted to work for an organisation that would provide me job satisfaction and help me in achieving my personal goal along with the organisation’s goal.

MEDIA 7: What differentiates Machintel from its competitors?

MEDIA 7: When you started your journey with Machintel, where was the company, and where is it now?
SM: When I joined Machintel, there were very few employees. A year ago, we moved to a new office space with more facilities. Now, our team consists of an eclectic mix of 300 specialists like MarTech implementation experts, data scientists, software developers and digital marketing doyens.
Machintel and our US company DECK 7 have made strategic investments in tools and data. So, we can design and deliver the best marketing campaigns across the 7 channels viz. email, mobile, social, web, search, tele and display for a client.


MEDIA 7: What changes at Machintel have you seen take place for the better?
SM:  From the day I joined Machintel till date, numerous changes have taken place. Some of these are introduction of individual learning programs, identification of objective and key results from company level to individual level, increase in department strength, relocation to new office space, revision of company policies, reduction in attrition rates and employees are much more satisfied now.
We are also looking forward to introducing many more changes in coming days which will be beneficial for both the employee as well as employer.

MEDIA 7: Which was the most successful marketing campaign you have ever worked on?
SM: It’s very difficult to pinpoint one marketing campaign as the most successful because Machintel designs and conducts over 250 campaigns each month for its partners. The larger partner relationships require fulfilment of 8,000 to 9,000 leads per month distributed across campaigns for several of their clients. Client campaigns usually run across multiple months and more frequently than not, from quarter to quarter through the year. Machintel is also often brought in to run fast-turnaround campaigns to help our partners meet their clients’ more pressing lead goals.

MEDIA 7: What inspires you?
SM: I have worked very closely with our ex-CEO, Mr. Mark Choudhari, since the day I joined Machintel. I was a fresher, recently passed out from college. I was totally new to the corporate world. He was the only person who trusted me, mentored me, guided me and taught many things. I have seen his dedication towards work and his temperament towards us…that is what keeps me inspired.
